Tell Us Your Arsenal Story & Win!

El Capitan - Play & Win!

Diwali is here & as per the word, so is our contest! Here’s your chance to win a cool Cesc t-shirt..

Rules:

  • In about 500 words (or more), ‘Tell Us Your Arsenal Story‘!
  • It can be anything related to the team in ‘Red & White‘. Your favorite Arsenal moment/game/season, a tribute to The Professor himself, an ode to your favorite Gunner, something to do with the Highbury or the Emirates, anything really.
  • In short, tell us how exactly you fell in love with Arsenal. The precise moment you became a convert. The very instance you became a Gooner!

Whether it be the class of 1970-71, the thrill of ’89 or the godliness of 2003-04; each one has a special Arsenal moment. And then there are smaller incidents which make us fall in love with a football club for the very first time.

Those may include a perfect goal, a Tony Adams scoring against the Toffees, a Thierry Henry flicking Fabian Barthez, a Dennis Bergkamp doing a 360 against the Magpies, a Patrick Vieira taking on Roy Keane inside the tunnel, a Arsene Wenger turning blind in the post-match conference or a Eboue himself! Reasons may vary, but there’s always ‘that‘ moment which helps us pledge our allegiance to a particular football club.

To stand a chance to win the above t-shirt, just tell us yours! The best story gets it.

Top-3 entries will also be featured right here on 11G. Mail us your entries here: 11gunnerz@gmail.com with ‘My Arsenal Story’ as the subject.

1 Month. 8 Games. (Rotation & Prioritizing Is The Key)

Keeping the Gunners in-sync is very important.

November is upon us. 3 months into the season, good time to see how Arsenal have fared so far and the road ahead.

Premier League: 10 games. 6 wins. 2 Losses. 2 Draws. 2nd in the Table. 5 points behind Chelsea.

Champions League: 3 games. 3 wins. 14 goals. Top of Group H.

Carling Cup: Quarter finalist after defeating Tottenham and Newcastle.

These look like good statistics. A closer look at the squad and the players that have been influential in getting us here will make it even more pleasing. It is so because, we cannot pin-point one particular player who got us here. We’ve had Theo Walcott, Chamakh, Jack Wilshere, Samir Nasri & lately Alex Song too to thank for, for where we stand now.

Our dependence on talismatic players is reducing. Which is a good sign if we wish to compete and win different competitions in the months ahead. Another boost would be the players coming out of injury at the right time. While Walcott & Bendtner came back in previous week, Van Persie and possibly Aaron Ramsey’s return too is on the anvil. Only Thomas Vermaelen seems to out for a long time, quite surprisingly. Read on..
